Imagine if every American school had an ongoing partnership with a school in another part of the world, whereby students could learn with and about each other.

Not only would our students be better prepared, but also America’s image abroad would be greatly enhanced. This is our MISSION!

Across disciplines, students become deeply engaged in subject matter when they see its relevance to solving major problems in the world or creating new opportunities for improving conditions. This is our MISSION!

1. Effectively collaborate with individuals from different cultural backgrounds and seek out opportunities for intercultural teamwork.
2. Analyze and evaluate global issues from multiple perspectives.
3. Understand how the world’s people and institutions are interconnected and how critical international economic, political, technological, environmental, and social systems operate interdependently across nations and regions.
4. Accept responsibilities of global citizenship and make ethical decisions and responsible choices that contribute to the development of a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world.

Did you know...
With the introduction of Free Public Education in Kenya, the cost of school uniforms continues to impede education access. In 2003, school uniforms cost about 480Kshs (approximately 2% of per capita GDP), which was excessivefor many families.

During our stay in Kenya we had the opportunity to interview many of the women who care for 5-10+ grandchildren each. During this interview we asked them what was their top priority in their daily lives. All of the 15+ women interviewed said money for school fees. This was before food and shelter. Why? They know this is their grandchildren's only chance to get out of extreme poverty.
